Mathis has been recognized as the resident primitive/folk artist in Nashville, Indiana's historic art colony for over 25 years. Working in acrylic, the artist breaks away from traditional landscapes and still life paintings. Mathis' imagination explodes on canvas with delightful primitives, capturing scenes both past and present.
